I did not take very good notes during this last round of TequilaCon field research, spending most of my time interrupting Sibyl with tenuous (at best) attempts at double-entendre.

sibyl

Sibyl: I came here once.
ME: dot com?
Sibyl: You know what I love? Bacon wrapped dates.
ME: dot com?
Sibyl: Okay, you're too much.
ME: dot com?

What I’m trying to say is that I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the three or four bars we hit, other than I think they all belong to McMenamins. Oh, and that I got a new camera! (Nonsequitur alert)

And one was PERFECT, except that it only serves beer and in order to get there you have to walk through the parking lot district and scale a bunch of chain link fences and it also closes early, I think at 10 pm, which, you know, for you East Coast types really FEELS like 1 am, but still.

And still another place was also perfect except that it had too much, I don’t know, PARTICLE BOARD for my taste. Kevin told a very funny Vince Vaughn story. Which I then confused for a Vince Neil story. Generational-gap hilarity ensued.

In attendance to see me drink less in a 6 hour excursion than I have ever drunk before were Portland locals: Kevin, Kevin, Ari, Sibyl, Vahid, Chelsea and Asia (on whose site you can now find my new telephone number...call me! I'll buy your vi*agra!).

Last week I guest-posted here. This week, I will also be guest-posting. In fact, I'm very seriously considering not posting here again and just posting on other people's web property. Posting at another blog is very much like living in another person's skin, seeing the world through another's lenses, vomiting in another's drawers (double entendre intentional).

I think guest posting may be my new addiction, and like all good addictions, it is demonized by people who are jealous of your ability to write with the liver equivalent of one hand tied behind your back. What most people do not realize is that I have TWO livers, a left liver and a right liver. One is for more creative drinks, like limoncellos di capri. The other is for gin.
