My angry at McSweeney's phase. What an ass I was. Those guys take a lot of shit and were always totally cool with me. Imaging by Kevin at tinrocket.
This was the day I learned about aperture. And cropping. And allergies.
Ooh, this was the day I got my magnifying filters. This flower is really, really tiny. I think I had all 6 filters screwed together. This was back when I took pictures in film, so I had to use a tripod.
This is a color photo, but backlit so heavily that the doug firs look grey. I always liked this masthead for some reason. I thought i would never change. My goal with my first blog was to change mastheads once a week, but I thought every single one was horrible until this one. I still kind of like it.
Tristan was stung in the eye by a yellowjacket. I was stung by my horrible skills at photoshop. Awful.
I found those magnifying filters again and caught this cottonwood bud looking phallic and loverly.
This is in Jewel Cave near Mount Rushmore. The photo never came out, but I noticed the negative appeared recoverable. So I scanned it and this came out.
A cropped sunset photo from Alex's powershot. I like these pics of sunsets taken from a moving car to get that impressionist look.
Not the best photoshop job in the world, but by far the longest I've ever kept a masthead. Naya bringing me a dandelion. I hated it originally because her hand and the flower were out of focus. Taken with a digital rebel. I don't know if I'll ever change. It will never look good on a t-shirt, but it feels right.
